Case Study Update – Month 35 Project “s²”

Do I need to change my shirt for these blog updates? Does blogging suck now? If only I got into this as a teenager spending hours on the computer anyways…

Or is it….

Yes, yes it is. Well, the old ‘easy ways’ certainly seem to be done. I even checked a big shot competitor of this site, ‘fatherly’ and they’ve lost most of their traffic.

I wonder how many people they had to let go?

Here’s the tl;dr on the site specs:

  • Cloudways Vultr hosting from the start
  • Ezoic ads from the start
  • GeneratePress Theme (basic setup)
  • Aged Domain

Analytics Traffic

In June 2024, month 35, I had 4,113 pageviews for this website. Have I done anything to try and bump this up?

No.

Will I do anything to try and bump this up?

Possibly.

Let’s Talk Money

For month 35 of this website, the Ezoic earnings were $28.88 (with a $7.02 EPMV)

Last month’s earnings were $30.71.

There was a point where this site was making close to $1,000 a month…

So, What’s the Plan?

I’m starting to look into creating a Ghost website. I’ve heard good things, and focusing more on building an audience/email list seems to be my best bet moving forward.

I haven’t done any YouTube related stuff for a while. I’ve been busy with work, and any free time I have I don’t feel like working more…
