Slight changes this month, but nothing crazy. Just the sort of stuff you’d expect going into Q4. Slight increase in traffic, which I assume comes from people no longer on “vacation”. And a slight increase in EPMV, which is a welcomed assumption.
I made a video a while ago that I was hoping this site would get to 100K PVs by end of the year. Is it possible? I suppose. But at this rate, and the slowdown in publishing, it probably won’t.
But it might?
But probably not…
In case you’re not aware, here’s the tl;dr on the site specs:
- Cloudways Vultr hosting from the start
- Ezoic ads from the start
- GeneratePress Theme (basic setup)
- Aged Domain
Here we go…
Google Analytics Traffic
Green across the board, I’ll take it. The “growth” isn’t anything special, I was expecting more with additional content. I’ll probably have to go back and start testing some different titles and tweaking older content.
I’m very thankful this site hasn’t been too affected by any Google updates and still shows promise of becoming something strong.
I’m just getting tired of waiting…
Let’s Talk Money
For September, month 14 of this website, the Ezoic earnings were $605.61 (with a $12.01 EPMV)
Last month’s earnings were $477.12.
Perhaps the recession has drastically effected the EPMV. I’m actually jumping on a call later this month with my Ezoic manager to see if we can strategize improving EPMV. I know others in similar niches getting way higher ones, so it’s worth seeing what is in my control.
Imagine doubling or even tripling your monthly earnings just by increasing EPMV?
So, What’s the Plan?
I’ve been doing some HARO responses throughout the weeks. They are a bit cumbersome and annoying, especially when you don’t get links. But once you have a template and get used to it, you can reply pretty quick.
I’m also working on some topical maps for this site. I’ve never sat down and spent a good chunk of time on one.
Other than that, I’m also trying to relax more and enjoy life. Things are comfortable and stable, and it’s nice to unplug more frequently.
This was just a long way of saying that my plan is of course… to keep killing them game.
